sundt We announced yesterday that Sundt Construction, a 117-year-old, employee-owned, billion-dollar general contracting company that provides preconstruction and construction services for public and private customers nationwide, will receive the HCS Award of Excellence. The award recognizes an organization that has had exceptional outcomes resulting from implementing new talent management practices.

Sundt will receive the award on Tuesday, March 11 during the National Human Capital Summit. I’ll be sure to try and get an interview with one of the accepting Sundt executives Richard Condit, Chief Administrative Officer, Joe McCaleb, Preconstruction Project Manager, and David Muehlbauer, Director of Learning and Performance Support. Perhaps we can get some secret tips.

In the press release, Richard Condit said:

Sundt’s talent management project was critically important to helping us ensure a leading position in a highly competitive industry. An executed Human Capital Management System is Sundt’s most sustainable, not easily replicated competitive advantage. We have done some good things at Sundt, and we are very proud of our company’s recognition with the HCS Award of Excellence.

Congrats to Sundt for this exciting win!
